Baosteel cuts domestic price of 300-series stainless coil

China's Baosteel has cut its domestic prices of 300-series stainless steel coil by Yuan 300/mt ($49/mt) for October on lower nickel and spot stainless steel prices, a company official said on Monday, September 29.

The company's decision took the steelmaker's October selling price for grade 304 3 mm HRC to Yuan 16,000/mt and that for grade 304 2 mm 2B CRC to Yuan 17,300/mt, ex-works Shanghai.

Baosteel had kept its grade 430 prices unchanged for October.Its grade 430 CRC price remains at Yuan 8,800/mt, ex-works Shanghai, and Yuan 9,500/mt, ex-works Ningbo Baoxin Stainless Steel, its joint venture plant in the eastern Zhejiang province with Zheyong lron & Steel Investment (Ningbo) Co..
