JSW Steel's November crude steel production up 3 per cent

JSW Steel today said its crude steel production grew by 3 per cent in November to 11.07 lakh tonnes.

The Sajjan Jindal-led steel maker had produced 10.72 lakh tonnes of steel in the same month last year, it said in a statement.

JSW Steel had produced 10.46 lakh tonnes steel in October reporting a 2 per cent decline over the same month last year.

Production of flat steel, used in automobiles and consumer durable sectors, remained static at 8.31 lakh tonnes in November.

The company last month produced 1.86 lakh tonnes long products, used mainly in the construction sector, compared to 1.44 lakh tonnes in the year-ago month, recording a growth of 29 per cent.
