SA240 304 stainless steel plate compare to SA240 304L Stainless steel plate

SA240 304 Stainless steel plate is the most common stainless steel material in Hot rolled or Cold rolled typies.SA240 304L stainless steel plate is very similar with SA240 304 stainless steel plate,but contains less Carbon (Max.0.03%) in chemical composition.So SA240 304L stainless steel plate minimum the risk of chrome carbide precipitation and corrosion around the welding.

In Mechanical properties,SA240 304 stainless steel plate owned a higher yield strength and tensile strength than SA240 304L stainless steel plate.These two stainless steel grades have the same Brinell Hardness as 201HBW.
